Students In Design is Columbia College Chicago's student group affiliated with AIGA Chicago, the professional organization for design. The mission of Students In Design is to fulfill the needs of student designers looking to grow and mature into polished professionals. They provide workshops, resources, critical dialogue, and design opportunities while building a network of current Art & Design students that will connect them to industry professionals and bridge into a network of design alumni. We will help students expand their knowledge in all areas of design and the design industry.

AIGA helps set the national agenda for the role of design in its economic, social, political and cultural contexts. AIGA is the oldest and largest membership association for professionals engaged in the discipline, practice and culture of designing. AIGA was founded in 1914 and represents more than 16,000 designers through national activities and local programs developed by 47 chapters and more than 150 student groups.
